Reason #17
The Grass is Never Greener.
One of the most used cliches. Did you know it dates back to the Greek poet Ovid, who lived in the first century B.C., and his original saying was, “The harvest is always richer in another man's field”?
Why am I even looking at other people’s fields? (Rhetorical)
The only way looking is not an option is going off the grid, right? (Also, rhetorical)
I won't rant about how the internet and social media have created a hybrid world for us. Nor how much it has exposed our weaknesses.
But, I have enjoyed not participating. I enjoy not knowing what other people are doing, I enjoy the anonymity of no one knowing me.
I enjoy life, in person.
And I’m keeping it that way because fast forward to the 21st century, grass only seems greener cause it’s artificial turf.
