Reason #18
The first time I felt loss.
In 10th grade, I lost my grandfather, it was the first death in my family that I experienced. I was failing most of my classes. Everything was warped, and somehow I was still challenged.
My biology teacher told me to create something worthy for me to pass the class.
I did.
I made a 4 ft detailed drawing of a heart, labeled with every muscle, artery, and vein. Full color, full detail.
It was so good, the teacher kept it. She passed me, and 20 years later, the drawing is still hung up in her classroom.
