Reason #7
I refuse to become Lot’s wife.
I refuse to look back. I’m not going that way.
Who was Lot’s wife?
Lot's wife is a biblical figure mentioned in the Book of Genesis, primarily in the story of the destruction of the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah. According to the biblical narrative (Genesis 19:1-29), Lot and his family were living in Sodom when two angels visited them to warn them about the impending destruction of the city due to its wickedness.
The angels instructed Lot and his family to flee the city and not to look back. As they were fleeing, Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed by God's judgment, raining down fire and brimstone.
However, against the angels' warning, Lot's wife turned back to look at the burning city and was turned into a pillar of salt as a consequence.
What has been destroyed in my past may stay there, I’m not going that way.
